Simple Backups/Synchronization ------------------------------ Just navigate your way around in the two Standard File-like lists and popup menus. In the “Source Directory” popup menu, find the folder or volume you wish to be backed up (the directory to back up FROM; the “source” of the data flow, i.e., a directory with NEWER files than the “destination”). Next, find the folder or volume you wish to back up TO in the “Destination Directory” popup menu. To begin updating, choose “Synchronize Now” from the MacUpdate Menu. You will not be able to update a directory to one of its “offspring”. For example, you can’t back up a hard disk to a folder that is physically located on that hard disk. You also can not update the entire desktop. The “Synchronize Now” Menu Item will be a dimmed “error message” if one of these two error conditions is encountered. NOTE: MAKE SURE the folders you want to update are displayed IN THE POPUP MENUS. Selections in the list below the popup menus DON'T MEAN ANYTHING.
